Pre-heat the oven to 180°C Fan.
Mix the flour with the bicarbonate of soda and salt in a bowl.
Beat the butter and sugar together until creamy, then beat in the egg and vanilla essence.
Now, fold in the flour mixture. Once fully mixed together add the chocolate chips and then mix again.
Lightly grease the inside of the ramekins and then split the mixture evenly between the ramekin dishes. Using the back of a spoon gently smooth over the top of the mixture so that it's level.
Place in the oven for 15 minutes then enjoy! I personally add a scoop of ice-cream on top.
